Sr. DVT engineer will be involved in daily FW and Product validation activities. Testing various products, running and maintaining test equipments in the lab as well as development of test scripts, tools, programs and environments are key elements of this role. In addition to the involvement in product verification and validation, DVT engineer will also help with debugging and troubleshooting of customer issues and communicate relevant information to the FW/HW teams to address those issues.
Responsibilities: - Develop test software, script and tools as needed - Test storage devices in compliance with published standard protocols - Monitor and maintain test setup, procedures and generate test results and reports - Setup and operate test equipments and lab equipments to assist in debugging and troubleshooting efforts
Qualifications:
Requirements: Candidate must have a working knowledge of storage protocols, including ATA, SATA, SCSI, Fiber Channel, PCIE and SAS. Experience with NAND Flash is preferred. Hand-on experience with programming language C/C++ as well as scripting language such as TCL and Perl is a plus
Qualifications: - Excellent time management skills - Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at once - Must be detail oriented with good organization and analytical skills - Good communication skills - Ability to plan and execute work independently - Strong problem solving skills - Knowledge of embedded firmware development tools (debugger, scope, logic and bus analyzers) - Must demonstrate the ability to analyze, validate and document test results per the company’s established test procedures.
EDUCATION:
BS degree in EE/CE or CS is required, MS preferred. 5 to 10 years experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and emails in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to internal customers and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
