 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY PLAN DESCRIPTION
MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION Effective 1st of the month following Date of Hire Medical:
  California HMO
  Point of Service (POS)
     Open Access
  Health Fund PPO
Dental:
  DHMO and PPO

  Discounts on frames, lenses and contacts.
LIFE INSURANCE Immediately

STEC provides $20,000 life insurance policy at no cost to the employee.

Employee has option to purchase additional Life Insurance up to $1,000,000 in $20,000 increments.

Term life insurance for spouse and/or children is available to purchase. 

AD&D (ACCIDENTAL DEATH OR DISMEMBERMENT) Immediately

STEC provides $20,000 of AD&D ins. at no cost to the employee

Additional AD&D ins. for yourself, spouse and/or children is available to purchase. 

BUSINESS TRAVEL ACCIDENT INSURANCE Immediately STEC provides business travel accident insurance to employees that travel for the company.
SHORT TERM DISABILITY PLAN Immediately In supplement with California State Disability plan, STEC provides up to 60% of salary when disabled due to illness or injury lasting five (5) working days or more.
LONG TERM DISABILITY PLAN Immediately STEC provides 66.67% - up to $15,000 per month - of your income (subject to taxes) when disabled due to ilness or injury lasting more than 90 days.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS Immediately In accordance with Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, Flexible Spending Account allows a pre-tax portion of your salary for the purpose of unreimbursed health care and unreimbursed dependent care expenses.
401(k) 1st of the month following date of hire STEC matches 50% of the first 10% of employee's salary contribution per pay period up to a maximum yearly contribution established by the IRS.  Matching will become effective after 6-months of continuous employment.  Stepped vesting schedule over a 6-year period for company contributions. 
VACATION TIME Upon date of hire

New hire to 5 years = 3.34 hours per semi-monthly pay period, equivalent to 10 days.

After 5 years to 10 years = 5.0 hours per semi-monthly pay period, equivalent to 15 days.

After 10 years = 6.66 hours per semi-monthly pay period, equivalent to 20 days.

PERSONAL DAY Every 6 months One (1) personal day given every 6 months to be use as a floating holiday or for the purpose of personal day off.
TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM After 6 months of continuous service Reimbursement up to $10,000 per year for approved courses with grades of A or B for undergraduate work and $15,000 for graduate work per year.

Employee Assistance Program
  Assists employees in handling personal or work related issues, behavioral health or referral to professional services.
