Ultra Mobile PC Benefits

High Performance

Solid state storage provides typical performance enhancements resulting in shorter system boot times as well as lower latency due to reduction of seek times that are an inherit shortcoming of rotating drives. Solid state storage also resumes more quickly from standby states as there are no platters to “spin-up” like there are with rotating drives




Low Power

Solid state storage consumes less than half the power of traditional rotating hard disk drives (0.9W compared to 2W+) thereby increasing mobile PC battery life.




Compact Design

Solid state storage allows smaller designs than is capable with traditional hard disk drives.
