Time is money in today's economy, and accelerating access to data is a proven formula for IT organizations worldwide. To help maximize its life, especially in write-intensive enterprise applications, STEC's flagship ZeusIOPS® SSD family has been expanded to include the ZeusIOPS XE (Extreme Endurance) SSD, the industry's highest-endurance MLC flash-based SSD, which is uniquely engineered to outperform and outlast conventional hard disk drives (HDDs) and competing SSDs.

Based on STEC's fourth-generation SSD controller technology, ZeusIOPS XE SSDs are purpose-built for write-intensive enterprise applications, and utilize STEC's proprietary CellCare™ Technology to deliver 30 full capacity random writes per day, every day, for five years. To provide further MLC SSD reliability through its SSD controller, ZeusIOPS XE SSDs also incorporate Secure Array of Flash Elements™ (SAFE) Technology that eliminates virtually all failures associated with MLC flash while maximizing the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and the Mean Time To Data Loss (MTTDL).



Engineered for Endurance

Fast access to data means everything in enterprise data centers, SAN and NAS storage applications. In write-intensive applications, every microsecond counts, so you don't have time for rotating media latency.

While HDDs have access times measured in milliseconds, ZeusIOPS XE SSDs deliver data in microseconds. But performance without endurance in write-intensive applications means more drive wear. ZeusIOPS XE SSDs can write more than 33 Petabytes of data to a 600GB drive 30 times a day for five years, significantly improving endurance within the ZeusIOPS family.

For server-side caching, auto-tiering, metadata and logging, and analytics, ZeusIOPS XE SSDs are an exceptional match within existing storage infrastructures, and for reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the SSDs.
